Embossed "Tower Root Beer" metal advertising sign from the Tower Root Beer Company and bottled by the Prospect Hill Bottling Co. The Tower Root Beer Company was founded in 1914 by Domenick Cusolito, an Italian immigrant. Even though the company moved to Charleston, Mass in the late 1930's it remained mostly a regional company for its 50+ years.Tower Root Beer was unique and very popular because it had a touch of anise (licorice) taste to the root beer flavor. This old sign shows wear with scattered scratches and very small areas of litho loss (see photos) but the sign remains in very good displayable condition. The colors are sharp and the graphic image of the large Tower Root Beer bottle is fantastic. The embossed lettering at the bottom which reads "Like Mother used to make" adds to the attractiveness and quaintness of the sign.
